What’s new

Every update, version by version

HealthcareOS keeps improving. Here is everything that changed in each update, newest first. Your version is in the account menu at the foot of the sidebar.

v2.07

Latest

Appointments, SMS, and plans and billing

  • Appointments. Book patients for a day and time — from the new Appointments page or straight from a patient’s record. See each staff member’s day and the busiest hours, reschedule or cancel, and move someone’s whole day when they’re away. Patients can get a text when an appointment is booked or changes, and a reminder before it.

  • SMS messaging. Send or schedule SMS to chosen patients, everyone who visited in a date range, insured patients or your staff, personalised with each person’s name. Save templates, set up an automatic birthday message, request your own sender IDs and choose the one automatic texts go out as, and top up the SMS wallet — all from the new Messaging section.

  • A guide to every screen. A new Guide explains what each screen is for and every action on it, step by step, with annotated screenshots and short videos. The guide button at the bottom right of any page opens it at that page’s section. It covers every part of the app, from the dashboard and patient records to the pharmacy, claims and settings.

  • A guided tour. New to HealthcareOS? A short tour shows you around the first time you sign in, and each page gets its own the first time you open it. Take the tour again any time from your account menu.

  • Chat with us. Ask the HealthcareOS team a question in a live chat — on the website, or from Chat with support in the app’s account menu.

  • Plans and billing. Settings now has a Billing tab. See your plan and how much of it you’re using, subscribe or change plans, add extra capacity, and pay or renew without leaving HealthcareOS.

  • See the total before you dispense. The dispensing sheet shows what the patient will pay, with insurance rates and any discount, before you confirm. Every dispense is listed under Pharmacy → Dispenses and on its prescription.

  • Issue items from the stores. Hand items to staff, departments or other locations from Inventory → Issues, and mark each issue as fulfilled, returned or rejected.

  • Follow claims through to the end. Record whether the insurer paid or rejected a claim, with notes and their letter or remittance advice attached.

  • Vital trends. Chart a patient’s blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, breathing rate and oxygen saturation over any period, from their vitals card.

  • Smaller touches. Remove a patient from a queue, remove an admission recorded by mistake, edit or delete notes, see insurance covers on the finance dashboard, and verify or change your email with a code.

v2.06

Smoother sign-in and clearer setup

  • Stronger, smoother sign-in. We’ve tightened security around signing in and out and made the whole flow smoother. When your session ends, you’re taken straight back to sign in, and logging out signs you out on all your devices.

  • Clearer setup forms. The forms for departments, triage, procedures, investigations and stock show clearly which details they need before you save.

  • More in French. More of HealthcareOS reads naturally in French, including prescription details.

  • Behind-the-scenes improvements. Security hardening, reliability improvements and bug fixes across the app.

v2.05

Names on every record, and reminders where they count

  • A name on every account. Anyone who signs in without a first and last name is asked for one before they continue, so every record shows who made it.

  • End the visit when you’re done. The patient page reminds you to end the visit once the patient is going home — with the button right there.

  • Results in one place. The investigations page reminds lab staff to submit results as soon as they come in, so every patient’s results are kept together.

  • A fresh sign-in. New-look sign-in screens, with links to our privacy policy and terms of use.

  • Log out from the sidebar. The account menu at the foot of the sidebar signs you out and clears what the session loaded.

  • Version numbers. The account menu now shows which version of HealthcareOS you’re on, with a link to this page.
